Hi!

We’re Jared & Amy.

Jared was raised in Northern California. Amy was raised in Southern California. We met at a wedding in San Francisco in 2009. After hours on the phone and dozens of trips to visit each other, we got married in 2011 and decided to call San Jose home.

After seven years in the Bay Area, much of it commuting to our respective jobs, we found ourselves longing for a simpler life. We wanted to live closer to nature, with room to spread out, do some homesteading, and work toward being as self-sufficient as possible. So we decided to make the move to Eugene, Oregon in 2019.

Since relocating, we have been enjoying getting our hands dirty in the garden, raising chickens and ducks for eggs, supporting our local farmers and small businesses, and taking time to appreciate the beauty around us. But, it’s just the beginning! We have big dreams for growing our little homestead. We welcome you to follow along with our journey!
